In 2016 I was searching through old demo recordings and found "Beyond
the Lines", a song my brother Carsten played with his school band "Dawn
Acrobats" in the late eighties. Quickly a new middle part was written
and I started to re-produce the whole song. Drummer Philip Mestwerdt
agreed to play on a new version of that track along with Matthias
Willer, guitarist and a good friend. Last but not least musician and
artist Peter Piek joined as singer - on Flute Kateryna Vasylieva. After all it was the birth of
"Johnny Bob" with "Beyond the Lines" as an opener for the debut album
"Carnival of the Brahma-Sox".

Four years later it was time to get in touch with the song again and
give it a new mix!

The lyrics alone are outstanding. The album doesn't "flow" as good as their latest album Amazingous, but instead offers more experiments and stays even more quirky. A track like "Teddy Bears" predates what will be A.M.A.Z.I.N.G a few years later. Really, a must-have for any fan of awesome pop/rock/exerimental stuff. Chris <(")

As a Peter Hammill Fan I can only love this. Don’t get me wrong, this ain’t just a copy. The songs are very individual, but they still have that PH Flair. The jazzy inclusions takes it even further away from that, while the vocals brings it back again . But it all fits very well together. Great album 👍 Boris Stalf
